What this site collects

Short version: nothing, unless you play the original idle game and say yes to its analytics, or you give us your email address for pouch updates. Last updated October 19, 2026.

This website

The Jerry Universe pages (the home page, Infinite Jerry, the merch preview, the pouches page and this page) don't use cookies, ads, trackers or analytics. The merch preview is a design preview: it doesn't take orders, payments or reservations. The pouches page has one form, the notify-me sign-up described below. If you turn on the portal sound, your choice is saved in your own browser so it's remembered next time.

Pouches notify-me sign-up

If you enter your email address on the pouches page, it goes to Kit, the email provider that runs the list for us. We use it only to tell you about the Portal Pouches line. We don't sell it, and we don't use it for anything else.

Kit has double opt-in turned on, so after you sign up it sends you a confirmation email. You only join the list after you confirm, and every email includes an unsubscribe link that removes you without asking us.

Kit processes the address on our behalf, and Kit's own privacy policy covers how it stores and sends mail: kit.com/privacy.

Hosting

The site is hosted on GitHub Pages, and the domain's DNS runs through Cloudflare. Like any web host, they receive your IP address and basic request details when your browser loads a page. Their own privacy policies cover how they handle that. Fonts are served from this site, not from a third party.

Infinite Jerry

Infinite Jerry is played on itch.io. When you follow a Play or Support link you're on itch.io, and itch.io's privacy policy applies there. The game saves your progress in your own browser.

Jerry – Idle Cat (the original idle game at /play/)

The idle game saves your progress in your own browser. It also asks, before you play, whether it may send gameplay analytics. If you decline, it sends nothing at all, and the game plays exactly the same.

If you say yes, it sends the following to our analytics server, which runs on Railway:

  • a random player ID created in your browser, which isn't linked to your name or any account;
  • gameplay events, such as which build you picked and when you leveled up;
  • a gameplay summary, such as sessions played, play time, level and in-game coins;
  • a short check-in every 15 seconds while you play.

Because the player ID stays the same between visits, this data is pseudonymous rather than anonymous. Our server uses your IP address briefly to limit abuse and doesn't store it, although Railway, as the host, can see it. Individual gameplay events are deleted after 90 days. The per-player summary and overall totals are kept to track how the game is doing. We don't sell any of it or share it with advertisers.

You can turn analytics off at any time in the game's Settings. Clearing your browser's site data for jerry-the-cat.com removes your saved game and your player ID.
